Web conférence 7 Volcanic Summits

Conceived in 1999 in the spirit of the 7 Summits, the Seven Volcanic Summits Challenge aims to climb the highest volcano on each of the seven continents. More accessible than the Seven Summits, in that it does not include either Everest in terms of altitude or Denali in terms of physical commitment, this challenge was carried out for the first time in 2011 by Mario Trimeri and Crina Popescu with the ascent of Sidley in Antarctica. Fifty people had to succeed, including a small handful of French climbers.

In this talk, Eric Bonnem, founder of Expeditions Unlimited, looks back at this rare challenge, the characteristics of each of the expeditions and those that are no longer accessible. It's a unique conference in a world where Expeditions Unlimited is the only French-speaking organisation present.
