All our trekking expeditions in Africa, Central Asia and Amazonia
Expeditions Unlimited offers a number of trekking expeditions that require no technical knowledge of mountaineering or the polar environment. In addition to our trekking peaks offer, our original trekking expeditions aim to cross specific environments such as deserts and jungles. For example, we trek with the Matses of Peru on the border with Brazil, and with the Shuars (Jivaros) in Ecuador, in unspoilt territories where few Westerners have ventured. We explore the remote regions of central Vietnam near Laos or the Altyn Tagh reserve towards the Tibetan Chang Thang in China with Bruno Paulet. We cross the Sahara desert by camel. We attempt an autonomous crossing of the Namib desert to the ocean. We cross the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts with our camels.
To develop these rare trekking expeditions, we rely on the experts of our sister company Tamera, dedicated to trekking and adventure journeys. These expeditions are carried out with a local team for greater immersion, most often supervised by a French expedition leader who is an expert on the region, a people or a specific theme. On each of these expeditions, we offer a H24 medical hotline and, depending upon the project, personalized weather forecast services.
