All our climbs over 5000 and 6000 meters in Nepal and on every continent
Expeditions Unlimited guides you on the climb of peaks over 5000 and 6000 meters, as a goal in itself, or to complete the challenges of the Seven Summits, the Seven Volcanic Summits, or as a natural progression towards a 7000 and then 8000-meter summit. In Europe, we climb Elbrus (5642 m) and in Africa, Kilimanjaro (5895 m). In Nepal, we climb the mythical Ama Dablam (6812 m) and with our sister activity Tamera, specializing in trekking and adventure journeys, Thorong Peak (6150 m), Mera Peak (6461 m), Island Peak (6189 m), Kang Yatse II (6190 m), Tapa Peak (6012 m), Lobuche East (6119 m) and many other peaks. In the Americas, we climb Denali (6190 m) in Alaska, Aconcagua (6962 m) in Argentina and Ojos del Salado (6893 m) in Chile.
These expeditions at over 5000 and 6000 meters require very good physical condition, and many do not require mountaineering techniques. Hypoxic stress, particularly at over 6000 meters and on short expeditions with little time for acclimatization, can make these climbs more difficult than they appear. These expeditions are supervised by recognized and experienced local expedition leaders. On each of these expeditions, we offer a H24 medical hotline. Together, we build your itinerary to your first 5000. We offer beginner and advanced mountaineering courses in our Adventure School, as well as an unrivalled range of expeditions to 7000 and 8000-meter peaks, enabling you to progress at your own pace.
